Times Table Clubs

It is an expectation of the National Curriculum that children know their times tables up to 12X12 by the end of Year 4. This is so they can begin to use increasingly more sophisticated calculation strategies before they move on to KS3.

At Olive Hill we run a ‘club’ system to encourage our children to learn their number bonds and times tables. These range from the 10 club up to the 100 club. Once a pupil can correctly answer all the questions on their club in five minutes, they are awarded a certificate in assembly and move onto the next club.
